Boondocker turbo box on NA sled...can it be done?

By turbo box I'm assuming you are talking about a fuel control box? If so yes. I would think you'd need the one for an M7. Lots of people have added a fuel control box to their stock sleds so they can fine tune the fuel flow at certain rpms to get the sled to run more efficient. It'd be a good idea to get some starting numbers from whoever you got your big bore from and you can fine tune from there.

I believe you can disable the turbo functions but not 100%. Decide to add a fuel controller to that big bore after all?

Always lookin for a cheap boondocker box, one pops up...for the right price...maybe...found a couple that are worth looking at but they're for a turbo sled application, which I don't have. I don't see why it wouldn't work, just zero out the turbo fuel numbers...unless the BD box is looking for some sort of signal at start up.

Yeah, I've got a Boondocker Fuel Control Box on my sled with no turbo. These boxes are model specific though from the factory. Mine is dialed in to maximize the potential of SLP pipes. They're good for just about anything fuel related. And if you add turbo or nitrous later, it still can be used.

I should throw a point of clarification in here....

One of the Boondocker boxes I'm looking at is programmed specifically for a turbo M7 application. I just wasn't sure if I could run a boondocker box with programming specific to turbos on a sled that's naturally aspirated.

Thanks for the input- Keep it coming!!

This thread is full of horrible information.

You need a N/A box. You can use a box from a M6, M7, M8 or 900 EFI naturally aspirated. You can use a nitrous capable box as well.
Whoa, easy man. No need to get all ****ty about it. We were only trying to help soemone...

I wasn't meaning to be ****ty but I will delete my original post and you can continue "helping" each other. I was just trying to keep the guy from wasting money on something he couldn't use. I guess bad information is better than no information, right?

haha. No, you're right. It was just worded a little rude. anyway, you're right though. The turbo boxes and the NA/nitrous boxes are two different items. If you have an M7 for example, you need to purchase the m7 box which is still useful if you add nitrous. but, if you add a turbo kit, then you would need the box that allows you to adjust turbo levels.
