Boondocker Info

Interested in getting a boondocker set up for my 12 pro. I'm at roughly 2000' elevation and wondering if i can run straight pump gas (91octance) or if boondocker recommends to run 2 gal of av fuel to a tank like silber kits do? I take multiple trips a year west (8-10,000'). Just wanting to get as much info as i can and know i have a chance at a reliable turbo for home elevation 80% of my riding and my trips which consist of the other 20% of my riding. Any and all info would be grateful. Thanks

boondocker and silber both have low psi waste gate actuators. The nice thing about the boondocker is that is has ebc so you wont have to fiddle with the boost controller going from home to the mountains. I have owned both kits and i currently have a boondocker that i run at 1500 feet all the way up to 12000. In my honest opinion though if youre going to buy a turbo for your sled shell out the extra coin and run straight AV fuel or another high octane fuel, the difference in performance from running pump gas to race gas is huge.

I just got the Boondocker for my '11 Pro for that reason. I ordered it with the adjustable wastegate. This way you can set the boost down to 4 lbs. when you are at low elevation. If you run AV gas though, this probably is not as big of a deal. I am new to this turbo, but BD has been helping me learn as I go. Took it out last weekend for maiden voyage. Was sweet! No problems, ran great before even touching the numbers.
