Boondocker Controller Removal

I just picked up an 07 M8 for my wife. It had the SLP exhaust kit and Boondocker controller. I am removing the exhaust and Boondocker box and putting it back to stock. Do I need to do anything in the controlls to put it back to stock setting before removing it? I have never used one before, so I just want to make sure.

Thanks

She is coming off an M7 and only weighs 120 lbs, so the M8 will be enough power for her. It needs a new hood and I figure that I can sell the exhaust and controller and buy a hood with the money.

Also, I have read alot of +'s and -'s about the exhaust, controller and reliability. I want it back stock so I don't have to mess with it.

Thanks

No. All you will need to do is unplug each pigtail off the injectors and plug the stock harness back into them and than disconnect power and ground. Will take you 5 minutes to do. You do not have to do anything to the box before removing it unless you just want to set it all at "0" for the next guy, but if you don't know how to do it than I wouldn't mess with it.

Thanks, I know that on some truck programers, you have to set it back to stock before removing it, wasn't sure about this one.

Thanks Again.

Yea, on these the sled ECU runs stock fuel settings all the time and the aftermarket fuel boxes only adds/subtracts from the stock settings. Therefore if you just yank the box, you are just back to stock settings automatically. Good call putting it back to stock for the wife too! ;)

On the 07 with an SLP you can just pull the bd box & leave the pipe though, that's the best of both worlds right????
