I have a question on how the box fuels in the advanced mode using PSI-L & PSI-H
PSI-L controls stock injectors
PSI-H controls the auxillary injectors - Which come on @ a preset point (CR) which is a value of 4 for every # of PSI
OS is the initial amount of fuel that the injectors flow
Lo-Md-Hi represent engine load dcy-injector duty cycle or tps-throttle position Which one is everyone using & does everyone use the preset transition points?
ACEL is the accelerator pump and allows extra fuel to be added or subtracted during acceleration Is this to add fuel across the board and only while accelerating, maybe you have a lean spot just on acceleration that cant be fixed using the RPM adjustment?
DCEL What is this function? Clearly it adjust fuel on deceleration or chopping the throttle, but stock fuel-boost fuel-both?
I understand that each # you add or subtract is a 1/2% of the total fuel available.
So now the real question:
If you have for example: CR of 20-(5 psi) running 10#'s boost WOT
PSI-L 10 20 30
PSI-H 5 15 40
If the total amount of fuel being added by the stock injectors blend from 10-20-30 and end up with 30 points of fuel total being added, and since we are using aux. injectors they start adding fuel at 5#'s of boost. So the stock injectors at this point are spreying 30 points of fuel and the aux. injectors start adding fuel do we end up with 70 point of fuel total being added by both sets of injectors? How does the low and med blend to Hi? When would you ever be in the PSI-H low, except on decelaration, being you are already building 5#'s and in the throttle? So if the aux injectors come on in the mid of the PSI-H would the total amount of fuel being added at this point (say 8#'s of boost building to 10) be 35 ending up with 70 at 10#'s & WOT?
Reason I ask is I have a Boondocker M7 w/ intank high flow pump, auxilary injectors in the throttle bodies, 1-1 external reg @ 38 psi, 2860, no intercooler. I ran around 8#'s most of the time and could get it to run strong on the top end with an AFR of 11.5 but struggled with a bobble or bog when I would wic off the throttle after being at WOT and full boost for few seconds or more. It was frustrating because at WOT and under boost it ran so good. No matter what I tried I couldnt get rid of the bobble, so I turned off the auxillary injectors and just ran it in Simple Tuner Mode and Whala the bobble was gone, but I maxed out my Dcy at 7.5#'s of boost and If I have to run straight 110 I want more boost! Anyone have any ideas on what was causing the bobble? I have an 09 800 to put in her over the summer, but we are still riding here and the big stuff is just getting good
Thanks for your help
