bone/wolverine

Rode Bone to Caribou GS last Saturday. Ranchers still trying to get the cows out so be careful of strays. 12 to 18 inches in the back country. Definitely the best end of November snow we have had in 12 years.

another 12 to 14 inches, best early winter riding I can remember and I am 61

Just got back, we Rode from the bone unload area to skyline ridge to brachman and over to grays lake outlet and back around through the long velley road was a good ride snow a little light to start with but ok in the road and was play city when we hit the top! anywhere from 6in to a foot at the unload and between two and three feet up top and snowing like there's now tomorrow!!! groomers have started doing some grooming!

Was up to the bone unload area and the temp was 42 and the snow was leaving!!!! Pray for snow!!!

Just got back from an attempt to ride the "Bone" area. Be afeard, be very afeard. Groomer made a very smooth sheet of ice pretty much anywhere you might want to go. Make sure you have two sets of ice scratcher installed, you have your rock skies on, and that you wear your insulated long handles. Couldn't see, which was a good thing, froze my arse and broke a set of ice scratchers trying to keep the sled under 220 degrees. Other than that, is was a great day of riding.

went a short ride today to test sleds out and it was pretty good fresh snow on trail nice off trail conditions great riding in the blackfoot mountains probably 3 to 4 feet of the white stuff and a good base didnt hit dirt once even climbing the hills should be good next weekend snow in forcast all week see ya up there
ps we went to the bone parking lot hopefully hit sawmill canyon next ride

will definately be in the sawmill area on the 24th leaving from the Bone lot at around 9:00

made it there yesterday best snow ive ridden on there since ive been riding(4th year) awesome powder conditions pretty much rode in the open fields all day road conditions pretty good no sleds overheated didnt even drop the scratchers very fun day the farther in you get the better the snow plan on going next weekend too. the only bad thing that happened is my wife tryed to turn her sled into a pogo stick and fell off the back smacked her butt on the rack or the bumper :face-icon-small-sho. but she was a trooper she finished out the ride another 3hrs without complaining:amen:.

If anyone goes in from the Firth side...PM me I might be able to hook up for a weekday ride. I have not ridden this area yet since I moved here.

We rode a few days after Christmas and it was spotty at best. Once we got up high there was probably about 3 feet or so, but down low was aweful. We tried going in through High Basin but the trail and fields were bare, so we headed back into the canyon, we drove past the road closed sign about 2 more miles before we unloaded. The first few miles were all ice, with a dusting of snow. However, what snow there was up high was good, and will be a great base. We've been getting decent snow all day so after this storm is over it should be a good place to go.

Rain or Snow??

Just wondering how much it rained in this area looking to do a quick ride thursday or friday while the sun is out. Their is a small winter storm watch for caribou highlands tonight 5 to 8 inches about 6500 ft will be going to cedar creek rode three weeks ago and was good!!! Now it has rained and havent been up their since
