Bonded A-Arms suck

I had a little mishap with a buried stump this weekend on my 2013 pro, and instead of bending at the weld for the swaybar mount like the 2011-2012 A-arms do (our group has probably bent 15 or more of the old style in the same exact way), the bonded A-arm came apart at the glue joint for the front arm.

In contrast to the older style A-arm, this makes the sled unridable, we tried to limp it out before ditching it overnight, resulting in this:

That sucks....check the FS section, there are often guys selling brand new take-off shocks for really reasonable prices. Buddy rode his out with a splint and a crap load of black tape. I think he used a wrench, but anything solid would work....in case there's a "next time."

2014 are much stronger. I did the same to my 2013. shock can be rebuilt for about $80. send to gas shock guy in rigby idaho.

Gas Shock Service or direct to Walker Evans service...Both are very reasonable.

Lower arms... Order just the Lower Timbersled Stock replacements... stronger and more abuse resistant.... bolt in place, use stock uppers.

im with you. altimpact. doesnt matter what ski stance, i have had z broz and im here to tell you they will simply not stand up to dans arms, period. they may give you another inch of clearance but that by no means makes them a great arm, but i guess better than bonded. call dan and put it behind you.

I ended up getting a Z-Broz A-arm kit from Michelle, and a set of fox floats from a guy here for a 2011/2012.

I'm going to stick the floats on the wifes 2012 for now, and put the 2012 shocks and z-bros a-arms on the 2013.

Then sell off my leftover 2013 a-arms, and depending on whether she likes the floats or not, either keep them or lengthen the WE to 2012 length and revalve for my weight.

I don't mind replacing parts when I crash, it's just the way these new a-arms fail that sucks. The old A-arms would fold up but would still be rideable/limpable back to the truck.
