Bogging 2007 M-7

I know that this problem is beat to death with lot's of threads. Can I try it 1 more time? This is a high RPM problem, seems to idle fine and run at lower RPM with no problems..

Considerations?? We have been burnng premium fuel, 90 octane. Is that a problem? The book calls for minimum 87 octane. Is higher octane better? Pulled the exhaust valves to clean yesterday and there was some debris on them.

How about using ICOHEAT in the fuel? Is that a problem?

I would not use isoheat. A few years back i dumped some in my sled then later on the way to snow park i read the bottle. It said do not use in two stroke engines. Asked a mechanic later he said it seperates oil from fuel. Anyway look back in threads you will find lots on bogs.

87. they run alot better. bog may still be there but you'll notice the difference.

I don't think they made an M7 in 2007. You have on 06 m7? or an 07 m8?

there is two different kinds of the "iso-heet" stuff stay away from the stuff in the yellow bottles that is the one thats supposed to be bad for 2 smokers. we run the kind in the red bottle in all of our sleds and have for many years with no problems.

any modds done to the sled ? what rpms does the bogg happen ?does it fall on its face or? if u feathr it does it stll do it ?
mike:D

By chance is your tail light burning out? My buddy had his regulator go, and it kept burning tail lights, he changed the reg and his bog went away. He bogged at about 6000 rpm.

dirty powervalves may be something to look at....should be cleaned every year and can cause bog when they're sticky
