Boat questions

My dad is looking at buying a Malibu wakesetter lsv or an mastercraft x series. Any opinions on the two? Pros cons? Right now we're leaning towards the malibu

more amenities for your buck w/malibu. need to consider where the closest dealer is as well. x-series are always the competition wake boats. my buddy who skis w/pros says they can't stand the malibu boats, but that's his opinion. our x9 has been great, but i'd be looking at what i could get overall for whatever $ amount you are spending. MB makes a great wake/surf boat as well w/a lot more ballast.

Chris, tell your dad to forget about the boat and have him get yourself a bike. We'll go to the dunes and you can take the title from Dean in the off season as well.

I'm personally am a Mastercraft guy but I don't knock on the Malibu's one bit. They are both awesome boats and are both built with quality. Probably the thing they have in common is how #&&*^%in expensive they are

Thanks for the info on both. I've been on both boats before and it does seem Malibu has a little more gadgets than mastercraft. Haha I want a bike but Im hoping I can buy one next year. I have to pay for that new sled this fall remember haha. And Jared if we end up getting a boat you know all you guys are gonna have to come up for a day. I'll school dean anyday on anything ha. I can't wait for winter till we're all riding again

I've learned the hard way to always consider which boat has a good Dealer standing behind it. Down time sucks and paying for something that's not your responsibility sucks even worse. That's assuming it's under warranty. Good luck, either way you'll love it.

For the boat and the $$$ you might also consider the Ski Centurion Enzo. It is a fantastic boat especially for wakesurfing and wakeboarding. Dealer in SLC is great too. Mastercraft and Malibu are both top notch boats no question though. My bro has a 2003 LSV Wakesetter and it is a SWEET ride! Good luck with your decision.
