BMP Powder Lite Can for '12 600 Pro?

Hi, was thinking about adding a can to my '12 600. Leaning towards the BMP powder lite. Anybody have a review on it?

Also I was wondering if there is anything I can do it help with my downhill descents. I keep the clutches engaged, pump the brake (had an attack 20 on the old m7 so am familiar with fast descents, lol) and still feels like I can't get her to hold back coming down hills. Rode a '13 600 last year and it felt great coming downhill, would it just be the difference with the belt drive vs chain case?

I had a powder lite can on my 12' 800, way to loud did not like it at all and not to mention the fit wasn't all the great wither. The only reason I went with BMP what because of the cost. I sold the can after two rides, immediately bought the HPS and could't be happier.

the bmp full velocity has a nice sound but isnt very loud.

I owned a bmp can, for a day or two lol.. Sounded more like a r/c nitro car then a snowmobile, the jaws can went back on rest of that season.

Yo...Steph!!!

Long time no hear!!

What are you looking for in a can?

On your sled downhill issues... when was the last time you adjusted the track tension to the factory spec outlined on pages 102 - 104 of your owners manual?

Off topic... but have you removed the skid from your sled... taken all the cross shafts out, cleaned them and the inside of the tubes and re-greased them with a good synthetic grease that does not get thick at low temps (dont use trailer bearing grease)....I like Redline CV2 ???? If you want your sled to work right... best to do this... simply pumping out the old grease will not remove the abrasive "muck" in the the tubes and on the cross shafts... Pretty much all sleds with one season of riding on them should do this.

The bmp is definitely the loudest can ive heard. I put a jaws on my 12 with zero miles i now have 1800miles on the sled and don't plan on changing it. Hps would be my other choice. It all depends on how much noise you want to make.

Hi! Been really busy this summer at work, looking forward to getting back on the sleds.

Looking for a can with a nice low growl and weight savings.

I think the last time we tightened the track was a few rides in. Will check it, thanks!

Also thanks for the heads up on the skid, going to give her a good tune up after hunting season and will add that to my list.

I have the powder lite can on my wife's 600 and I love that thing. It is loud and makes the sled sound like it has a complete pipe set up. The fit is excellent on it. I have the HPS on my 800 and I really like it too. It is more throaty, not as loud. The HPS is lighter by a few pounds. It just depends on what you want, I dig that it is loud.
