Just put a gentle 20 mile trail ride on new BMP fix kit with new SLP mods including high elevation domes, air horn kit, single pipe, PCV with SLP map and pink exhaust valve springs. Everything appears perfect but at only 4000 feet on the first ride at Seely Lake the DET/knock sensor would flicker occasionally. Had the ethanol wire unplugged and threw in some extra oil in the fuel tank. Will be adding 3 gallons of AV gas for the next ride and hoping to be at higher elevation at either Lolo Pass or Lincoln. Haven't run AV gas in years but looking forward to the smell again. So far so good. Sled is 2010 RMK 800. 48 degrees here in Missoula and rain all over Western MT. WebCams show all the passes as wet this morning. Need some major spring snow at this point.

He was under-revving on that break-in ride if anything. It would flash the check engine light around 7K RPM. Since that trip he added some av gas, we rode from about 5500 feet and up, and no light showing up on that trip... As long as he runs some av gas and/or stays over 6K feet I am thinking he will be good. Lucky for him he stores his sleds near an airport... *L*

Yup.... It seemed the best medicine was a little elevation and some Avgas. Now have 50 miles of easy breakin riding so am now anxious to really get into it on the next ride in Lincoln on Friday. The new BMP fix kit with SLP mods seem smooth and tight. Remaining adjustments at this time will be analog tach and team secondary with a bit more grip for spring riding in the warm soft snow. Last thing will be to adjust primary weights if necessary. So far happy with everything but now just needing to get comfortable with the IQ chassis.
