Ok, It is MLK day, and the snow is finally coming to the Blues. The snowpack will more than double this week, blanketing many of our mountain hazards. I went riding yesterday in 6-8 inches of new dry powder snow on top and there is another 6" that fell overnight with snow falling at this posting according to the Touchet snowtell.
This is a great time to think about attending the WSSA annual meeting in Walla Walla and a weekend riding in the Blues February 17-19. Flying W will be there looking to host and share our mountains, good times, laughs and help people out of trouble that he led them into. Friday ride is at Touchet Corrals snowpark near Bluewood, burgers served at Godman. Saturday and Sunday at Tollgate areas.

My wife and I are booked, sounds like the locals have put alot of effort into this,
should be a good time, keep talking to the snow gods.

Bluewood is getting pounded as I write. All the snow has fallen since Saturday with temps in the lower twenties or less. Time to take a snow day and head up for first tracks. Bluewood is posting 14 inches of new overnight with lots of storm to come as the jetstream targets the Blues. Maybe CB8 and company will want to come down again. David is going to have to juice up the rotary snow blower for the parking lot.
