Just playin with the new HD GoPro camera and thought I would share a bit. Still learning how to edit etc..... Nothing fancy or extreme, but we had a really good time in the sunshine:face-icon-small-coo

nice video, still looks like baker need some more snow. Were is that camera mounted, on your chin or chest?

Chest mount. Feels a little more protected and doesn't get the bobblehead quite so much. I wish i could review the video on the hill, We would have raised it up about 6" and got less sled in the shot. Little learning curve still but overall happy with the camera. It takes impressive stills too.

I have the same camera, havent even rode this year or even taken it out of the box. Just trying to get ideas on were people are mounting it. Thanks

Thanks. We took this at sunset. Funny story is we rode the day prior and had a great time in the clouds, sleet etc.. at Anderson. After listening to the weatherman and checking the forecast, we both decided to bail on riding Sunday and spend the day with the family to get the rest of the Christmas stuff done. Got home, unloaded the sleds and everything. Next morning, I spent three hours trying to kick myself in the *** as I watched the skies clear. After a few texts, I saw my buddy was doing the same thing. Needless to say, we got out of town about 1130 and were on the hill by 115. Glad we did!! That was a close one!

Thanks, That video was taken from about 4500' up to 6800'. When the suns shining, Baker is one of the best places to play.

I selected movie mode and P4 on the GoPro. Works pretty well for me. I don't have the book in front of me so I don't have the spec sheet to reference the specific resolution.

I believe p4 is 960 I actually use p3 which is 720 for two reasons its the same picture size as 1080 (wide screen) but it shoots 60 frames per second vs 30 on 1080... Any ways I like to position just picked up my chest mount this week and hoping to test it out this weekend! :face-icon-small-hap

I'll have to try that P3 setting. I haven't used the sealed back yet. All mine has been taken with the open back. I like the audio levels that way and haven't had any issue with the camera getting to wet. One issue has been droplets of water on the housing lens. I think I will try a bit of rain-x on it. My thought is that even if I forget to wipe it off, it will blow off while moving and salvage the shot.

Yea i think i'll try that to.... If you have extra stickys you should try the helment mount, i thinks its pretty sweet i where it there when im riding my bike and when sledding
