Blue/Pink Primary spring

I am currently running carls setup (helix, weights, spring) in secondary and been thinking about replacing the stock spring in p85 with a blue/pink spring.

Anyone make this change? If so, what difference did it make?

I riding mainly 8K and above.

I rode the blue pink, but didn't like the engagement. I tried a green pink and liked that a lot better. I ride mostly between 8-10,000.

Yeah, i have tried blue/pink and green pink... for me I like the stocker 130/340 best (in titanium from reton spring btw) Just what you like to ride with enguagement wise, my friend liked the green/pink, blue/pink works well in my mod sled.

Oh, all they will do is move your enguagement RPM around, no other change as all have aprox same open pressure .... stock<<<<blue<<<<green , green being the highest

The Green worked well with twin pipes on my Dragon. I have the Blue/Pink in my '11' Pro and it seems to work just fine. I would be interested to see some Secondary spring comparisons. We are gonna slap a black/white in one of the sleds next time out to see how it compares to the stocker with the 58/40 helix

I use the blue/pink as a replacement for the stock almond all the time. After it takes a set the engagement comes down in line with stock.

they must sack out a bit as I measured 143/357 on mine yesterday.

So by changing to the SLP blue/pink, engagement should be about the same as the stock black spring but you'll loose a little RPM's on the top end??? Am I reading the charts right?

I was told by a couple guys to go with the SLP blue/pink in the primary and a black purple in the secondary. Any thoughts?????

slp blue/pink will raise both engagment and full shift rpm by a little bit over stock(1-300 rpm)..the check distance that it is rated at is different from poo so it actually has a little more force..the green/pink slp spring has same finish rate as the blue/pink but raises engagement more..good for a lot of initial angle on the helix to keep the sled snappy in the low end... from all the clutching work I did on the dragon and a little on the pro..once you hit about 6000 ft the stock helix is to much finish angle needs to drop to 40 up to about 8-9000 ft then drop again to 38 finish, the initial can be upped on stock at all elevations then play with primary initial spring rate to get the snap you want back...so 62 or so initial up to 6000 then 60 to 8-9000 then 58 over that...just what I have seen.......
