Blue Marble Oil

I am wondering if I should keep using Blue Marble oil in my 08 D7 ( 350 miles ). I used it in my 03 rmk 700 with great results. If not what are some of the better choices?

There has and will continue to be a debate over oil.

I setteled on a semi Sythetic, Polaris Blue. I think based upon available opinion, fact and expirence this will best fit my needs. I would have chose Citgo Sea and Snow, or Injex Pro however both are very hard to find locally

I do agree that a straight synthetic oil may not be the best all around choice.

BM is about the only oil I would NOT run, I tried it for a full season. Poor corrosion protection and residual oil to protect material. Just run any sled mfr oil.

Blue Marble

Been using Blue Marble in 3 sleds for 3 years now, I can say from experience that the claims that they make about their oil seem to be true. Snotech magazine tested it and said that after 2 or 3 tanks of gas that the sled they were using had improved fuel economy, a noticeable increase in power and less smoke and overall improved engine operation. My engines have absolutely no carbon on the tops of the pistons or Rave exhaust valves and there is no residue around the exhaust outlet. I cannot say that they have more power than before but I have had no problems and the exhaust odor is much more tolerable.

I have a friend who ran Cat APV for 3 years in his 900 cat without any issues. He read some of the BM propaganda and bought a case, within 400 miles the Nicasil was destroyed. Coincidence? Possibly. When you pull apart a motor run on blue marble there is no trace of any residual oil on anything. You could not pay me to run it from whay I've seen. After a long WOT pull up the mountain I want to see liquid protection hanging on my skirts not a protective invisible film.
