blue marble oil

You are going to find this question has been widley covered.

Everyone will have their own opinion on this---run this oil or another--the oil I run is the best.

As long as you run a good quality oil--you should be fine. I have run many different brands over the last 35 years and have never had a oil related faliure--And yes--I have blown up more than a few engines (I know it is hard to believe).

Some engines are requiring different specs, so make sure what you run meets the requirements.

My 02.

Oh--by the way--I run Redline syn and it is best----;)LOL

H20SKE...

Blue Marble rules. I mean really, how could you go wrong with such a cool name like Blue Marble!

Seriously though, 2400 miles on my 800ho and ran it since new. I'd say Oil related failures are usually not brand related as much as amount. Run whatever makes you sleep at night

I ran it in my 700 DOO.
I ran it in my wife's 600 DOO.
I run it in my 800 DOO.
I will run it in my wife's new 600 DOO once the thing has burned the "Chip" in.

Naw...I don't trust it at all :rolleyes::D

It's a choice and debate that never ends here.

It was all the rage when everybody started using it about 3 or 4 years ago.
It's expensive but it's available at any cycle shop which is convenient.

After a full year of thrashing on my 800 I decided to tear the engine down and install BJ's trail torquer kit.
My cylinders look freshly honed and the pistons look brand new.
The exhaust valves are only slightly discolored.

The downside is if you're a tuner, there is no piston wash to read.
Too clean.

You took the words out of my mouth, until something better comes along I will use Blue Marble in mine.

I wouldn't run it, had a gallon and sold it. and I will run pretty much anything but that

And thank you for proving my point!!!

I ran it for a couple years and I am back running Arctic Cat more less to support the dealers. I will say I foul less plugs on APV then I did on Blue Marble.....

Have you seen the price of blue marble lately? Its lake 40 bucks a gallon, for that price there are much better oils to run. Its no longer the bargain oil it used to be.

Wow, I honestly can't remember ever fouling a plug since my wife's old Phazer! that was a '91

As far as the cost...you're right. $40 is a lot but I get it for $120 per case of 4 gallons.
I actually got a case at the snow show this year for $100 and a case lasts me all year.

Sticky exhaust valves?
You got something else going on there. this stuff leaves a dry film that feels like teflon. When I pulled my valves during the tear-down I didn't even have to wipe them off!

I'm not trying to talk anybody into using the stuff though.
Use what you want. In fact DON'T use BM and maybe the price will come back down. Supply and demand!
