Blue Lake Open

Went out to Blue Lakes yesterday. It is open and is actually pretty good for what it is. The road had plenty of snow. There were meadows with deep powder in them. We found one that had 3-3 1/2 feet. Lots of boondocking and face shots.
We were quite surprised.

Many of the normal riding areas are very thin though. Definitely areas to avoid.
We have a buddy that hit a rock and tore off a ski and destroyed an a-arm on Saturday.

So if you go, be careful
