blue ecu- red injectors?

got my 900 159" running put a blue ecu on and red injectors will it work?
what is the dif between blue red and yellow injectors i thinking the yellow put out the most fuel i think the yellow was on a 163" track

There are no rhyme or reason to the injector colors... it was explained to me that they were tested and depending on the test data they are lumped in to the different colors and then the ECU is programmed accordingly.

On the 800s I know some shops that played with putting a different program in with different color injectors and it never worked right.

I'd say you ought to get it reprogrammed to match.

so you think i could be running maybe rich or maybe lean?
can i take just the ecu into the dealer?

I'm thinking maybe in for some problems down the road? Best to have them flashed for the correct injectors. sled_guy is right, remember reading they have tried with the 800's and I think some 600's but couldn't get them right. The flow rates are different for each along all the throttle responses or rpm's or something.

i dont know for sure what would happen if anything.

but i DO know that they are based on "flow"..

red injector flow the richest,
yellow injector for the middle
blue injectors flow the leanest of them all..but still safe of coarse.

i have ran a yellow flashed ECU with red injectors for 3 seasons and never an issue on my 05 900 for what its worth.
