Block heater necessary?

I noticed that the Cat four strokes have an optional block heater.........

You guys on the Yammie four strokes have them or recommend them?

Any issues getting them started on a minus 20 morning at all?

i have started my nytro several times at -25 ish. its a little slow but starts fine with no heater.

block

i have started my attak at 45 below. it took a couple tires but it started when the 2 strokes wouldnt. i found out it works good to turn on the key, let the gauges do their sweep and the pump to run, cycle it again and crank it with a little throttle.

Ours always start up - they turn over a little slow and you have to sometimes give them a touch of throttle - but they do start at cold temps.

Yamaha offers the block heater too - but I don't personally know of anyone that has installed one.
