Blew a coolant line

Rubbed a hole in the big coolant line that runs from the antifreeze reservoir around to the front of the motor. I lost all my coolant and the sled got hot, but not too bad I don't think. The light came on and I shut it down. Got more antifreeze and limped her back to the truck, but didn't loose to much as it was a small hole. I guess I just slowly lost it. Anyways, is there anything specific I need to do or check when I get a new hose to replace it? Any helpful hints? Will I end up loosing all my coolant or should I try to plug the hole when I pull the hose? Thanks in advance.

I have had a similar (but slightly different) problem before. Leaked from a different place but lost a lot of coolant as well. When I got it fixed I refilled the coolant from the top of the head - I have a RKT mono head but you could fill it through the thermostat housing if you are stock. Then reattached the line to the head and fill up the bottle.

Be sure to burp the system a few times before heading out riding and be sure to carry extra coolant for your first trip (and keep an eye on it for the fist couple miles).

If you need help burping it just let me know. Hope this helps.
