Black Tunnel

They do look good black, the funny part is they use to come black and guys would strip them down to raw aluminum and polish them...........now there stripped down and were looking to make them black.

It's tough to do the Polaris tunnels in black because powder coating could break up the glue that holds joints together. Wrapping all of it is tough too because there are too many nooks and crannies.

Pull the tank and take it into a auto paint shop... have them shoot it with black U-Tech... tougher than Imron... tougher than Pow coat... mask off (bag) the rest of the sled prior to paint... Pretty straight fwd.

You can go with a wrap too

i did the same carbon wrap on my 2011. one piece for the entire tunnel. it was a major PITA and i did not hold up well at all. the constant heating and cooling on the top of the tunnel made the vinyl brittle and cracked. my boots shredded both sides of the tunnel. it looked BA, just like above, but just didn't hold up well enough to justify it. plus i believe, b/c the vinyl look is not completely smooth, it collected more snow than smooth vinyl. saying this, i did not use the 3m product but rather a different brand. so it is possible the more expensive 3m brand might hold up better.

This is a pretty bad picture off of my phone, but this is Allan from Timbersled's 1100 Pro with a custom painted tunnel and side panels. It looks SWEET and runs even better I'm sure

Jason... It DOES look great... Helped him get it ready for the EXPO and JH trip... Sweet sled!!

He had the entire chassis painted after he stripped it down to nothing... except for inside the engine compartment of the bulkhead.

The Paint looks top notch ... Urethane automotive/fleet paint.. non Clearcoat type.
