Black slp pipe?

Where are you guys seeing this? I've looked on slp's site and am not finding it.
Its not on there. But my pipe i got yesterday is black, two bands, and an x weld across the bung. Seems like the updated version. Rode all day today and it still looks great

Maybe I'm old fashioned but I liked the shined up look of my polished looking can/pipe.
No. Its still ceramic coating so the function is there. I like the black if its not going to rust and i dont have to polish it

The powder coating business SLP used stopped doing the silver ceramic coating do to the cost of meeting the EPA requirements. The silver ceramic coat has chromium in it.
I heard SLP bought the ceramic powder coating equipment from that business and is doing the black coating in house now.

Hi everyone. I can help clear up some confusion on our pipe coating. We still offer the silver ceramic on our Polaris Axys pipe sets. We have had some call from customers for black so we have now also introduced a black ceramic. It gives a satin finish and has the same insulating characteristics as the silver. The part number for the silver ceramic is 09-866 and black is 09-866B.
