black ceramic coating

I have black with excellent results. The stock black coated pipe is so efficient that my Hot Dogger does not get enough heat to cook food. Plastic Coated Products in Wheat Ridge, Co. does the work in about 1 week turn around.

I found this do-it-yourself stuff. Haven't got to try it out yet but it looks good and I have high hopes.

The Black Satin is good for 1400 degrees, Ceramic is good up to 1200 I believe.
Got my y-pipe and pipe done for $20 and still have enough left over to do my can. Only problem with this stuff is it needs to be sprayed on with a gun.

From you name i take it you are here in Alaska. Hit up Mark at Advanced Powdercoating (907) 892-3200. Myself and lots of guys on here have used him and his prices are great and his product is top notch.

ceramic coatings

Swaintech coatings does a great job. I did my y-pipe and exhaust together, and it was about $120. It's a white coating. Keeps more heat inside pipe so it scavenges better, better performance, and better mileage. More heat kept inside of pipe means less heat radiating outside. Pipes won't corrode either. Ceramic works on the space shuttle, and brake rotors for high dollar sports cars. I don't think you'll regret it.:D
