Black Canyon Loop

Has anybody tried doing a trail burner at black canyon loop this year yet? If this snow keeps up it might not be too far away. I've heard there is 14" at Henry's?

Maybe 4 inches at henrys at best. Black canyon snotel shows 18 inches though. If you could get up past big springs a ways you could burn up the trail a little bit. Getting closer every day.

Looks like the guys from snowest did a ride at black canyon.

Noticed that.. I might try a ride next week. I've heard we will have a few more days of snow this week that should add to it up there.

We went up yesterday to Blacks Canyon. You can drive almost to the warming hut. Once on top you can only ride a mile or two past the power line before the gate across the road. Anything past the gate is closed until Thanksgiving day. The snow is marginal but I need to break in the new sled somewhere...

Leave the big springs parking lot, head towards big springs. Turn right at moose creek summer homes area and from there head towards black canyon. From there you can put on 100 miles easy if you want. Snow up high was good for a trail ride. Rode there on Friday.
