If you are in the market for a top notch, functional hunting pack, I would like to recommend BISON GEAR. In 1996 I purchased one of the original "First Explorer" packs from the parent company that has become Bison Gear. I just purchased a new pack from Angelo @ Bison gear for Jo and she & I could not be happier. Due to her small stature, finding gear that is tailored to her is very difficult. The customer service and attentiveness to detail from Bison Gear is something that is rarely seen in manufacturers these days. My original pack has seen 14 hard seasons of big game hunting in the back country of Idaho that has included packing out 2 Rocky Mtn Bighorn Rams, 7 bull elk, numerous deer and accompanied me on hundreds of back country hunts that has put a fair amount of abuse on it. Except for where my dogs ate a hole out the "blood stained bivey sack", it is in perfect working order and is still my mainstay piece of hunting equipment. Without this pack, the methods in which I hunt would be greatly reduced.
