Weigh in to Have Your Voice Heard!

Youth sized ATVs and dirt bikes are still banned. We need your
help to continue to build enough pressure to get the ban
overturned. It is unlikely that the Consumer Product Safety
Commission (CPSC) will act to approve the Motorcycle Industry
Council's petition to grant regulatory relief. This means we
need Congress to act.

Senator Tester (D-MT) has introduced legislation, S. 608 that
would stop the ban. Please use the link below to urge your
Senators and Members of the Senate Commerce, Science and
Transportation Committee to support this bill.

ARRA members have responded in huge numbers on this issue
already, but it is important that you continue to have your
voice heard.

After you weigh in, please use the Tell-A-Friend feature,
located in the left tool bar, to forward this alert to everyone
you know that rides. It is imperative that the voice of every
rider be heard!

Done deal. I just bought a 120 sled for my little girl a few months ago. It would break her heart if I can't get parts to keep it running. I sure hope congress will listen to the people..

Done

Done pass this one on. I don't have kids , want kids or will ever have kids but I remember how much fun I had as a kid please pass this on so others can love the outdoors .

Thanks Ollie!!

I want to share a portion of my comments and want to know if anyone knows if there have been any efforts by powersports groups to look into ADA legal requirement for equal access regarding riding ATVs or sleds? I believe we may have a strong case in these regards.

Following is a portion of my comments:

"I am also a physical therapist, and recent past president of the Utah Physical Therapy Association, who understands that there are those in our population who cannot enjoy the outdoors/back country by foot or self propelled means. I am currently looking into the probability that such bans, and efforts by some environmental groups to restrict equal access, may be in violation of Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. Motorized sports and recreation are a way of life for many of us!"

Take the time

Guys this is a big deal. I have a six year old that has a snowmobile, 4 wheeler and a dirtbike. I have waited for years till he could ride and we could go do these things together. Rembember when you were a kid and how you couldnt wait to get home from school to ride the sled or dirtbike. My son will be so heart broked that he cant go with dad to spend some time riding. I guess these kids can just stay inside and play video games.

take the time to send the email that is provided. It took less that 30sec.

Attached is a picture of son after being told he could not ride his dirtbike

Just DO THIS!

My kid is finally getting to that age and at first I couldn't believe such a thing was really happening. Seems like once something is taken away, it's 10x's harder to get it back. Now they got their foot in the door and you know it's not going to end with just this ban. This will be a tough fight, EVERYONE needs to get involved! This is seriously hurting the industry in an already down economy, not to mention the future of the sport. So now my kid must wait and start riding a bigger bike, plus he won't have the practice of riding a smaller bike - which is way more dangerous than any amount of lead could have! But worse than that, it could deprive my kid the experiences I had growing up - which I know taught me values and helped keep me away from trouble.

So even if you don't have kids, take a few seconds RIGHT NOW and just do it!!! - it could be YOUR recreational vehicle they ban next!

Done,and thanks for posting Ollie.

Done
Also at other sites.

The ban will be lifted with the recent bill.

When stuff like this happens (the government "parenting" your children), it usually gets overturned quickly.

Done and proud for once to say my representative is a Co Sponsor from what i can tell. Makes me feel for once like that letter I sent a month ago might have actually done some good.
