i have 09 m8 sno pro with timber sled intake, mbrp can,bmp y pipe, lots of venting.. i want to add a pipe want to know pros and cons of bmp's pipe. also what fuel controller i should run.. i ride @ 3000-7000ft

got one on my 1000. fitting S-U-C-K-S-!
and i´t didnt put out the power that is stated.

i´m never buying anything bikeman again!

i really liked my attitude industries controller and now they have updated it to a closed loop system i guess havnt read on it or anything the i had an 06 m7 with bikeman 800 kit and i used the attitude box and really liked it

thanks guy i guess i will look @ the slp set up i have no complaints with my y pipe. so i will most likely keep it on unless the slp one is a good enough price.now another question do i have to get egt gauges to use a fuel controller. not use i meant tune it?

I really like my attitude fuel box. Great product with even better tech support. I installed egts to fine tune and it gives me a good peice of mind knowing what's realy going on. JMO

i had the koso egts and it was nice to have that piece of mind on big pulls when ur wide open for a long time i just liked the ease of tuning with the attitude especially since im new at the whole tune as u go thing

Bikeman is not a "Western" organization and I personally wouldn't buy anything from them for a mtn. sled. I'd go with SLP or Speedwerx first - also, the BMP customer service has been questionable.

SLP has a pretty solid setup for the M8, there have been some with poor fitment, but overall I have not heard 1 complaint about performance. Speedwerx also works well, but for more $$ and you have to run a fuel controller. Many get away without the controller on the SLP setup, maybe sacrfice that last couple of HP, but you save some Coin!

a few bigbore builders will only use bikeman..i have the bikeman y and the pipe on mine and im very impressed...and i have had alot of pipes in my day...and yes i think slp/speedwerx makes a good set up as well...my d@d y pipe i had before is really poor
workmanship yet there twins are supposed to be good...so who knows..i want to try the jaws or d@d twins for the heck of it sometime

A note on D&D

I had the D&D Power Lite pipe and their Y-pipe on my M7 (Worked awesome BTW). When I was taking it off over labor day I saw the y-pipe was cracked pretty bad where the 2 stampings come together. I called D&D and let them know what happened, withing 5 days I had a brand new y-pipe, so the guy who bought my pipe setup got a pretty good deal! They had some issues, but they certainly stepped up and warrantied their product no questions asked.

Bikeman burned me. Crap product and even worse tech support when things didn't work right.

When I bought my 06 M7 it had a bmp stock pipe mod and bmp can. Loved the sound of the can, but the fit was absolutely horsesh!t so I sold it. I've had 2 stock pipe mods, 1st was on an 03 F7 where I could tell the difference immediately after putting it on, more power in the mid and top. On my M, can't say for sure. It seemed to run ok at elevation. That being said, I will not likely buy from BMP again. I will only buy from "Western" companies who do their R&D on the hill. Speedwerx is a midwest company but with all the factory race stuff they do they have a heavy involvement in the western scene as well.

I'm not going to tell you that bmp is the best or worst, but just because they are a midwest company don't mean they don't do any testing at elevation.

I had a set of Jaws twins once that I couldn't make run on my m-7 and I've seen others that just rip with them on.

Some sleds don't like some pipes.

I did see a y-pipe of there's fail, but it was a easy fix and they offered to replace it too.

When did you buy it? They fired the guy building their pipes about a year ago and are building everything in house now.

bought it last autumn,
well thats god. but kinda don´t help when they obviosly sold parts that they knew was ****...

the pipe is useless now by the way. the angle between the pipe and y-pipe is so large that the cone on the pipe has cracked.

and the pipe layed on the spark plug instead of the rubber stay above the engine.
the only reson i didnt return it was that i notise this when i hade the sled up in the dyno and i felt that it was to late.

Did you ever call them to let them know the problem? If its only a year old I would at least call and ***** at them to give them the opportunity to fix the issue.

I also think its ignorant to ignore a company just because they aren't located in the mountains--whether its BMP, Speedwerx, D&D, etc. I promise you all of these companies own trucks and trailers to go test wherever the snow may be.

My BMP 800 cast kit on the old M7 runs very well with their stealth pipe at eleveation. BD #'s were very close and she runs pretty stong for a single. Somebody knows how to build power their ;) Talk to Eric, he's the brains there.

BMP pipe

Anyone have a real world report on a BMP Y-pipe/pipe set up for a 2010 M8?
