I've got a '14 SBA with a 1.38" track I want to go bigger. I had a guy say you can run 2" but need to cut the lugs so they clear the tunnel coolers. then had another guy say he ran a 2.4 " with a 2.86 driver. Just curious this is my first "off trail" sled. Thanks for any input.

2", 2.4" and 2.5" will fit. The stock drivers can be used on the 2" and series 4 2.4" track Polaris sells. The 2.5" clears with 8 tooth 2.86 drivers.
No mods to tracks should be needed unless you have the stud protectors installed and do not uninstall them.
2" track will work fine with no modifications to the track. I road one for 1600 miles with the 2" paddle. You will need scratchers as we'll to help keep temp down. The other thing you should do is change the gearing if you go to the larger track.
