Biggest, Baddest, Scariest hills

Hello just a newbie on the forum and i am looking to build a turbo sled. And that got me thinking if i build this sled what thing am i expected to climb. So I need pics , video, grade, lenth, how much HP. so i can start dreaming, hyping my self up.

I also heard that in BC you ride up and then the heli takes you down. What does that cost? :)

I see a hospital visit in your near future!:D I've never personally experienced it but most cases I know of in BC it's the other way around..... you ride down and the heli takes you up. :beer;

Before you talk about climbing the biggest baddes hills...you might want to go take a look at them first hand. I about chit myself in the bullpen at Revy looking up the chutes from the bottom. It puts a new definition on STEEP.

I think I smell a troll though...

I have never been to bc and all you ever see is pics but they don't do it justice. Will a turboed dragon take on most of the hills or does it have to be a 1200 doo artic cat 1200 or a nytro. I have some coin and hav been watching the movies and i want in. So tell me what is out there and lets see some pics. :)

12% grade= Arctic Cat
14% = Skidoo
16% = Yamaha

Anything over 16% grade better buy a Polaris. There that aughta get this thread moving. :D

Seriously, what have you ridden before? What is your experience level? Any hill is steeper than it looks when you get there and pics won't do it justice. I know some guys say "lets do it" and then sit at the bottom cuz its too steep to walk up or down. Anything over minor mods from stock is $$$$$ and if you plan on playing on the big hills 20-30K is not out of line.

Thanks yama mod Those were sssssswwwwwweeeeetttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats what i am looking for. I haven't seen the new vids and they look awesome. Ok I have $22000.00 grand to spend. But i dont have any idea if i have a big enough set. So what does a guy do. If I build a sled to that caliper of climbing is there a market for them or am i stuck with it? I see these vids and think THAT HAS GOT TO BE A RUSH!!!

:)

Sounds like you should be buying a turbo'd kitty kat to start......

Amen ^^^^^

seriously I would tell you to get a stock sled, learn to ride and then build or buy something that equals your ability to ride. Why spend $22,000 to wrap around a tree?? Not that it takes that money to wrap around a tree.

First go buy Schooled by Bret Rasmussen and Chris Burandt.

$22k will build the sled. But after your first try, your gonna need another $10k for the repairs let alone the hospital bill if you mess yourself up. I have to believe that what you see on the internet and in the movies of people climbing the BIG stuff successfully are more than just guys with huge pockets. I am not a bad rider per se and have poked some short steep stuff with very bad results at times. There are a ton of variables that occur while climbing vertical stuff that there is nothing but experience in doing so, teaches.

ooooo id get a stock cat hrc or a 800 dragon..and after u ride that 2 years or so and put about 8000 miles on sleds and can go up damn near anything.......then u decide if u want to drop 30k+ on a wicked sled....or u buy the 400 hp yammi now and kill yourself or ever worse someone else gets killed trying to get u unstuck in some nasty chute........:p

question: how many miles have u ridden in the west??????
