bigger lugs for an m5

Hows it going?
In november i bought a 2006 arctic cat m5 efi 141 and since then i have noticed that i dosen't climb hills like i want it to. it's great in just the flat powder like an open field but climbing hills it's horriable. it gets stuck almost every time. so the last time i got stuck it got me thinking i should get 2.25 inch lugs for this.
Right now it has 1.6 inch lugs and i've asked a few people and they said that the 2.25 inch lugs is to much for a 500 but the pahzer mountain is a 500 and it has the same amount of horse power and 2 inch lugs. so i really think it would work. i have a high flow intake ring that goes in the air box on the way that will give it will make it faster off the start and more speed on the top end and i wonder if that would make a difference?
So what do you people think about the 1.6 to 2.25 inch lugs?
