Bigger gas tanks?

Is anyone making these for edge RMKs yet? Anyone want to? I'll be your first customer.

Has anyone had a tank custom made out of aluminum? Any draw backs to going this route?

I thought I saw carbon fibre tanks a few years ago...did these ever hit the market? Who's making them?


I'm looking at spending about $320 for a clear 12gal tank and 2 QRS racks...I'd much rather pay $400-500 for a 15-18gallon tank....I'm open to ideas.

i had a clear 15.5 gallon tank on my 2001 mountain cat. it was custom made from a big plastic can and it was made to fit perfectly. it was a bit wider and taller but no longer. it fit perfect and i never had a problem with it.

i'd be the second customer! i'd love to have a 16 gallon tank that would fit and not look retarded. on my sled it coult come all the way back to the seat posts or something that would have to be good for at least 2-3 more gallons.

Check out a Candian company called Tour Buddy. They make aux tanks for alot of sleds. I had 2 of them, 1 Polaris, 1 Yamaha and they worked great. Added 2 gallons. Those cost $180 for the kit. I highly recommend them. Not sure about your application.

Check out www.trailtank.net He was the one who made the carbon edge tank. He is now making large capacity plastic stock appearing tanks for the Sno pro, Nytro, IQ/RMK, M series cats, and XP. They come in black or clear. Unfortunatly, I don't think he has a large plastic for the edge but he might have some ideas or solutions for you.

Someone on craigslist had a 15g tank on their Edge RMK last year, didn't even email him to see where he got it from. It looked stock too.
