Big Slide!!

I would not have wanted to be in this big slide. We found this slide today on the back side of Caribou Mountain. It looked like it slid a few days before. The pictures do it no justice, but the ones of us coming down the shoot show the size of the mountain. This would have been a widow maker. We seen a few others just as big. Boys, be careful!

we were in there yesterday on our way to brockman. very big slide. lots of people tip-toeing around that area lately.

No doubt! We seen 2 other really big slides too. We are going back in Friday. It should be real good. I hear Soda got 16" today.:o

let me know what you find, if you don't mind. we ride that area quite often once the snow sets up. there was almost 2 inches of fresh in my driveway this morning. i'm hoping that caribou is getting pounded.

Man I can tell from just the photos how wind loaded and slabby that whole hill was. Where you guys were coming down is SO wind loaded.

That is the kind of thing to look for and stay away from. NO way I would have been in there is those snow conditions.

Been up there in the summer on the quads but never in the winter. Which face is that on? The debris bield on that is nuts, this new snow this week and the bad layers we have, I hope people use their big head instead of their little one and stay out of the nasty stuff this weekend. Going to be some big slides coming down.

Thanks for the pics

This was on the North East facing slope on the other side of the radio tower. The little shoot we went down was fairly safe. It was still a little scary. One sled at a time. Went to Preston today. It was unreal!

Yup, that whole upper ridge is (was?) just plain UGLY!

Stick to safer areas!
