Big Question and After Market Exhaust

Help guys I am trying to fit my Single SLP Pipe and Muffler from my 2003 9001M to a King cat I just bought, the Muffler does not fit the chassie well but is possable with some modifcations, the King cat came with a MBRP muffler which is louder than I like but fits nicely with the SLP Single and chassie, my question mixxing the SLP and MBRP be ok or would I be better off keeping the SLP muffler and modding the chassie to fit. I want the best performance, please help and thanks for any thoughts, MADDOGWFO

See if you can mod the muffler to fit the mounts of the '03? I have the same model and I guess there are different mount points. Mine mounts to the chaincase cover at one spot by replacing the bolt with a rubber mounted stud. I am sure the other muffler will work but it is noisy like you mentioned. Also while you are at it, Remove the restrictor ring from the end of the "Y" pipe, it is tack welded in two spots at the face. Just grind/file down and remove with needle nose pliars.

One of the issues

One issue is where the exhaust dumps out of chassie is a problem the SLP muffler sticks down several inches and the deflector plate does not fit off the KK, it looks like it was made to deflect the exhaust back rather than down because of the bog in deep powder which was a issue with my 9001M the MBRP is smaller and deflector is angled back and is smaller in diamenter on exit MADDOGWFO

Now I see the problem thankyou. I like the smaller outlet opening as mine is smaller than the factory. It gives higher velocity for less deep snow blocking. Also it works better at higher altitudes. Can you use the deflector style of the '03 instead of the KK? Otherwise you would have to cut the exit of the SLP to accommodate?
