Big iron shootout

We had a great time seeing everyone again. the faults being mentioned didn't take away from the fun factor for us!! I missed the Sunday, (dam wife), but Thur. Fri. Sat. was a blast. Big thanks to all that helped out! i tried to to thank ya as we met on the weekend.What a great bunch of people:beer; Trail was great in and out for the volume of people:beer;. the owner Mike at Zalus and the staff treated us like gold,and that goes a long way. Hope to see the boys again for Yamma fest!!
 
Bis 2009

Did everything go well enough that they will allow a BIS 2010? Hopefully yes then it will give everyone more time to plan, and organize the event. Get more volunteers in place, support from other clubs etc. Maybe even allow the limit to 1500. I know parking is an issue but maybe a person could design a drop off with security nite before and leave trailers back at the hotel. just a thought. could be wayout of line, or arrange for parking in other areas and utilize streeter street. and the old doo dealership lot as well. The more time we have for planning the better organized it will be. Hopefully it could become one of the biggest events in the NW of Canada, similar to Jackson Hole.:)
 
Hahahaha.. wow.... everytime i read more Im amazed that this is called an organized event. Time to lower the expectations and call it what it is. A huge clustser**** where lots of fast sleds and crazy riders show up and put on a great gong show. There will be wild parties with fun sledders , crazy ,insane stunts on some incredible slopes. There will be some beautiful sleds trashed to pieces.
There will also be some wakked out dude in a odd hat claiming to be running the whole thing , he will be the comedy portion of said gong show. sj

Stephy....please stop calling them YOUR parents! They are OUR parents now! As for the house....well....things are different now there too! We signed all of the papers today...things are legally ours now! :D We may let you camp across the street at the playground!

2010 - I think we should call this event something other then the big iron shoot out; so we can get Dave, aka Rutt King, aka The O zone Guy out of the picture. :rolleyes:
Or maybe he should be called The No zone Guy after this weekend??:p

So what should we call it?? :D

Wow feel the love for poor ozone...he gets a no planned event and makes it
an event..so he slept in or chased a moose all night..BIS shouldnt be too organized anyways. More organization means more rules and who needs more rules..... No one person should ever be completely relied on for anything...sure he's a bit cooky but that makes dave a dave. Now i hear others want to make it more organized...good on ya..wish i coulda made it this year. Personally i go out to the woods to find less rules..hope that f*%moose finds rocky..lol
 
Man people like to knock the Ozone. He got the BIS rolling again and with the help of alot of great people put on a good time. If more of us stopped complaining and helped out it could be even better. Rock/paper/scissors the Big Iron will live on. :beer;

Maybe we could call it the Turbo D shoot out I wonder how many will come then, you will be riding by your self.

One Guy can not do it all if you only knew how much work and his own money he puts into the event you would not be pashing him.Did not see you donate a $1000.00 watch ozone did and all the other stuff he had there.Did not see you donate $200.00 to the club.If you knew Dave he is a promoter not an organizer .All you negitive bashers out there why dont you try to get on board and make this a better event each year.Thanks to all the people that help out this year ,as we all raised the bar up another notch again for this event.It is amazing what some positive planning can do.
 
the volunteer trophies the computer work on the posters check page 19of this thread are just some of the expenses these are all priceless mastercard

there is a cost for putting this event on and i am sure ozone did not make much on the event with his tent sale but his attitude on the hill sucks when pointing out a hazard for the racers or the croud he completly disregards it the one year he wanted the racers to not only go up the shoots but come back down them and if you didnt it would not count IMO the racers do enought crazy sh*t as calculated as they feel safe there is no need to add a danger efect JMO
