It is very impressive what mother nature can do.
But also a different observation. How in the hell do you rip the entire front end off of an XP when the other sleds have major damage.
You would think that the "Frame" would be the strongest point on a sled. But to have it completely ripped off makes me wonder how strong the bulk head area is on one of these. I could see it bent, wrapped around, etc. But to be completely GONE. Holy crap!!!

If an avy can snap a 3 foot tree like a toothpick it can certainly rip a sled apart.
Avalanches rip limps and heads off people. I'd use the words decapitate and dismember but why sugarcoat it. Peeling sleds in half isn't that big a deal

Ya know what i think would be a great idea..... some of these sleds should be kept and put on display at the avy coarses.... along with a bunch of pics from that slide as well as some of the other slides!!! It might bring it home to backcountry users what can happen... and what does happen!!!
