Big Horns - The Passage Resort update

Hey SnoWesters,

I am just checking back in with everbody. Some of you may remember me from Meadowlark. Well, I am still in the Big Horns but I am up north at The Passage Resort now and lovin' life.

I got hired as the new Operations Manager up here and let's just say life is a lot less stressful here at The Passage. I will continue to give updates from my post on the mountains. Feel free to ask any quesions via email or this thread.

I have a smile on my face right now because I just got off the phone with Aaron from the National Weather Association (NWA) out of Billings, Mont. I gave him the weather update like I do most everyday, but when he asked if it was snowing and I replied no, he said it's coming this way.

"How much snow would you say," I asked. To which he responded, as much as a foot!

He said, "As wet as it is you guys could easily being seeing a foot by morning."

I told him he was like Santa Clause.. :face-icon-small-hap

Anyway, I had a lot of friends down in the southern Bighornies and I would love to see some of your smiling cold faces up here, this year or next. This is a somewhat permanent move for me.

I will let you all know about the snow in the mornin'. Don't garage your sleds just yet, I think this season might stretch on.

Oh, I am also trying to get together a snowmobiling photo contest, with a sweet prize for those of you that have meandered up Highway 14 this year. I will let you know as the details unravel. You can check our website for weather updates too at thepassageresort.com.

Well, stay in touch and drop me a line,

Jilaena :p

Hey Belle, I am exited to hear from someone from Meadowlark, way back in the 70's I was a test driver for Arctic Cat. We spent many weeks at Meadowlark testing. It was in the days of Pistol and Darlene Anderson, do you remember? What a great place to ride. We also tested further north of there at a place I think was called Bighorn Lodge. It was at the end of the plowed road at that time, highway 14 or 14 A ? You guys live in the best riding country I know. Trust me we road everywhere there was snow in the spring and we always came back to your country.Good luck with your new deal.
