Big Horns - Head north/south? WHERE TO STAY WHEN EVERYTHING IS BOOKED??

Headed to the Big Horns this weekend - but would like some opinions on if we should go to the north or south end ? I think everything on the mountain is booked so we likely end up staying in a nearby town - any suggestions on where to stay? Is there a hotel in Ten Sleep? Are there any privately owned cabins to rent on the mountain anywhere??? :face-icon-small-dis

I think Ten Sleep has a motel (The Log Cabin Motel), the phone # is 307-366-2320. If worst came to it you could probably find something in Buffalo or Worland (I think both are about 45 mins. away). The snow right now on the south end is excellent, probly the best i've seen in years! On another note Deer Haven is also open and serving meals, which is really nice to see!

I got the same problem, so we got rooms in Sheridan, the drive up/down is gonna suck, but theres six of us so the diesel won't be so bad. I think were gonna drive up to Burgess Junction an head down 14 till we find a good spot to unload, seems like the best option for us

if your going north and bear lodge, the passage, arrowhead, wyoming high country, ranger creek, and snowshoe are booked then your best bet would be sheridan. i don't remember if there is a motel in dayton or ranchester.

If memory serves me correctly there is a motel in Dayton and Ranchester, i haven't stayed in either town so i don't know how nice they are.

The Ranchester Western Hotel Is Not A Bad Place Was Clean And Nice And Closer Than Sheridan, The Number I Have Is 307-655-2212 But Is Fron About 8 Years Ago. Thank You.

Last year we stayed one night at a motel in Dayton. It was on the south side of the road but i don't remember the name  Nothing fancy, but very clean, hot showers, and inexpensive. Would be a much shorter drive if you're gonna be riding near bearlodge.

If you are staying south go to Greybull. $55 a night 2 beds in a room, hot showers, blah blah...and only a half hour to 40 minutes to the deep stuff.
