There was a lot of cheap shots in there...I can stand that chit. I am a hockey coach and my sons play. Last night another kid hit my kid from behind into the boards. Makes me want to get on the ice and put that damn kid over my knees. I have no doubt that chit is taught by his father too. People that do that chit are weak and can't play at the level of others around them so they take cheap shots....well it ends up in serious damage a lot of times. USA Hockey took checking out of the Pee Wee division this year because too many kids are head hunting...they aren't learning the skills of the game.

Checking is part of hockey...I have zero problem with good hard legal hits. If you check from behind or blind side someone you are a pu$$y in my book!

you have to understand that this is a higher level then what your son is playing and you are coaching. I agree that at a lower level it is not ok to hit like that. Not teaching kids how to hit and how to take a hit will only drop the level of play back down to a way lower level. They are changing the game since I played. at 14 in the leage I was in still let you have 2 fights a game and on your third you got a game misconduct. I miss the old hockey most of these new age superstars should have a purse to put their balls in. I mean really your a pro pick your head up and stop crying when cory sarich hits you so hard your dog will bleed. and I only saw 2 hits that could be considered from behind other then Marty mc and Todd B. and both those guys turned in to the board to draw a penlty

Some big hits. The one were the guy cracked his head was gross. I would rather go to a hockey game than a football game any day.

Hockey is far better than football for sure...but there are a lot of cheap shots for sure in that vid...Bertuzzi is the biggest POS around for his...

There were a few cheap shots for sure also some clean hits hockey is much more fun to watch than football. the problem with hockey is the average person can't/ doesn't understand or appreciate the speed and talent it takes to play the game at that level. That and the fact that the game is so fast in comparison to football.
I have played hockey my whole life and still play the problem with the younger kids is they see the pros and ushl etc. and think that that's how they need to play. Due in some part to parents for sure.
