Big bore or turbo?

Ok got a question. I have found myself riding with a bunch of guys with bigger sleds than my D8 and I would like to even it out a little. Do I go with a turbo or make a big bore. I have a crank already that I can stroke then I can match it up with a carls 860 cylinders and get close to 925 cc. The cost would be about the same and my resale of turbo later or the big bore engine would be about the same also.

So what does everyone think?

Well after 25 years of big bore Mods ..I say go turbo Have you ever tried to get a piston or cylinder or cylinder re plated mid season for a mod ,,yes I know Carls is is a good dealer but Im just saying!! with a turbo you get way more power and if something breaks you get stock parts from the dealer>> and resale ,,,remove turbo put back to stock sell sled ,,sell turbo kit,put money in pocket just my opinion tho

good point..but have you tried to get stock pistons from Polaris mid season?

I hear guys winning about running race gas with turbos to get big power but when you think of it if you had a BBmod with twin pipes ,high compression and advanced timming ,,,,to get to the same level as even a PG turbo would you run that on pump gas???????????? NOT!!!!!!!!!

Right on that was the info I was looking for and pretty much what I knew in the back of my mind. Being an old big bore stroker guy I just thought that that may be the way to go. Then I started thinking about all the custome peices that are hard to get if I have a failure. At least with a turbo everything is stocked somewhere. I have had two D7 turbos and had good luck with both so I think I will go turbo.
Second part to the question then is what turbo's do you like, both of the ones that I had have been boondocker before the ADA. I feel that they make a high quality product and I do like the idea of electronic controls over Boost referenced fuel regulators. I like the adjucstability of the boondocker box and availability of an intercooler. What do you guys think? This will be going on next years sled. From what I have herd a rush style front end but the same 800 engine.
