BHO has a little meeting with nonpartisan CBO (whose # crunching contradicts BO)

The CBO (congressional budget office) is a nonpartisan office who crunches numbers and is separate from the executive branch for obvious reasons. So, especially in lieu of recent events where the CBO's numbers for health care reform and everything else BHO does show the astronomical debt he's wracking up, why did BHO decide to MEET with the head of CBO?

BTW, the White House has it's own budget office.

The CBO can't make a drastic change to their numbers now unless they want to lose all credibility and their bipartisan status. BO is getting more and more desperate to push his $hit through.

I can hear it now, "We made a mistake in our calculations. BO pointed out in our meeting that our numbers were based upon the mean aggregate of the financial markets derivatives based upon the stock market projections that shingle dog house roofs with pancakes. It's Bush's fault."

My take.
He met with them, not to try and get them to change their numbers, but to get them to look longer term to see if he could salvage the deal based on that.

That is to say, in 10 years it will be bad, but even the CBO says in 30 years it will be saving huge.

Didn't work.
