I bought these KLIM bibs from this guy last week on Auction, no reserve for $105. he messaged me, and said they were sold, and unavailable. then he relists them a week later for $249.99. I called ebay and complained 3x now and ebay won't do anything about it. they just refunded me my $$. I want my Bibs. his name is mark Spette of Morristown New Jersey. his email address is mspette@aol.com, his phone number is 973-418-0688. he is a lowdown scoundrel of the worst kind, please help me in making his life he!! by sending emails and nasty txt MSg's. Please. feel free to click his rating , and the previous listing, he was caught red handed defrauding me and breaking ebay's policies, and ebay won't do anything but have me leave him negative feedback. big deal, send him a nasty text, and or email. If he wasn't so far away I would Personally knock a few teeth out of his face! thank u Jeff

You got your money back, move on with life and buy them somewhere else.

Yea, what he said!

After the 1st time he screwed with you, why would you even want to buy from him AT ANY PRICE?
Life is too short to waste time on f__k faces like that.

Sounds like he was gonna lose his as$ AT AUCTION and wanted to bail out of the deal.

Ebay is a good tool but you always run the gamble by using an auction. Are you gonna make money, break even or lose it? At $105, he was gonna lose it. With shipping and ebay's fees, he was gonna lose it bigtime.

There are better deals than what he's selling them for now anyways.

defrauded you? I'm certain that can only happen if someone actually takes your money first.

He actually has the right to end the auction early and relist (he prob intended to list with a reserve) which sounds like the case here.

Either way you are wasting your time, move on and buy another pair.

oh yeah , where is a better deal PJhunter???????

the auction wasn't ended, he just flat refused to ship them after i paid for them, then after calling ebay and raising he!! , then i got my $$$ back, but now i have to wait 4-5 days. I would rather harass him and make his life he11

I Ebay for a living, and that is why I do not sell items at auction any more, all Buy it Now. I have sold things in the past for well below what I paid, and had to ship them anyway. I take Ebay seriously, and if I F-up and sell something too cheap, I am obligated to complete the transaction.
If he gets more than one/a couple of the reports that you made, Ebay will suspend his account. Check it in a month, if he does things like this once, he likely does them more than once and his account will be gone.
Getting worked up over it isn't going to hurt him, it is just going to give yoiu an ulcer.

I just checked his auction, your feedback damages him worse than anything else you can do. 98.4% is horrible for Ebay. SOmething else I like to do is see if the seller seems halfway intelligent before dealing with him. If a guy cannot spell "discription" and "specks", then it says a little bit about him. I believe it also said that they are new and never worn, then later he says he wore them for a while.

Devilmanak

I have sold a ton on ebay and was on it when it first came out. I have recently seen a new fraud scheme that blows me away Ebay cant get a handle on.

A user will come on and sell a brand new item typically sold at 250.00 bucks but list it as a BIN for 169.00 free shipping with quantities of 10 or more. The seller has little to no feedback but is selling them with ebay security and taking paypal. I bought one of these thinking "hey I know low feedback but with protection and paypal how can i go wrong"

I think about it for a sec before hitting the BIN and already down to a few left. I take the BIN, paypal it instantly and 2 hours later I get a email from EBAY saying the transaction is in violation.

Ebay says heres your choice, "dont pay for it if you have not" "If item showed up disregaurd" "goto Ebay services for arbitration" Of course I have to wait the 10 days or whatever just to do this.

In the end my account gets refunded so IDC but I have to wonder..........what the heck is this guys angle? Is he just getting as much into his paypal then pulling cash out and never to ship? He must be doing this with a fake ID I would think? I can only assume that and Ebay takes the hit and pays these people back. Why the heck would ebay not contain this crap????

That's just it- I've sold too cheap and honored the transaction

I've actually sold, stuff for cheap and after ebay fees, paypal fees, and shipping, it ended up costing me $2.40 to sell an item, they were old yamaha snowmobile mittens, then the guy who bought them for .99 said they were worn and refused to leave me feedback. but I always took ownership of my mistake and honored the transaction. this guy weaseled out of the deal and ebay would not do anything. that's why I'm so P1ssed

Last Xmas I also got screwed out of an ARAI full face helmet, guy won it in an auction, then 2 hours later sent me a message asking why he hadn't received his item left. this was on xmas eve. I replied will ship out after the holiday, then he sent another msg on xmas asking where his item was, said he hadn't received it yet. I hadn't shipped it out yet, So I shipped it, after he received the helmet he replied to paypal saying that he didn't receive it. so paypal refuded his money plus he got the helmet. So now I always ship with a tracking number and or delivery confirmation.

Wow. You HAVE to cover yourself with Ebay. Tracking ALWAYS. It is the seller's resposibility to get the items to the buyer (according to Ebay an d PP), so that also means INSURANCE or you are taking a risk. ANYONE who asks where his item is the same day won is a scammer, that throws up a huge red flag. When in doubt about anything, CALL EBAY! They back buyers and sellers. They can look at previous history, see fraud patterns, in the helmet case they would have flagged the transaction due to his emails, told you to track it, and covered you. Ebay wants to keep both buyers AND sellers happy, I have had several cases where Ebay has eaten the $ and BOTH buyer and seller have gotten refunds.
I have had a few bad buyers over the last 10 years, including scammers, but I have NEVER gotten screwed on anything in the long run. Cover bases, buying and selling, it is pretty safe.

also if you ship something - always buy insurance

OF SIGNIFICANT VALUE I sold my 2 year old laptop that I paid $1200 for at best buy, on Ebay for $385, packaged it really well in 2 boxes, inner box , outer box, guy gets it and says the outer box was mangled. I tell him I will refund the purchase price and shipping price, get it back and the screen was shattered, it was perfect when i shipped it, but i was in a hurry , during holiday season , big lines at usps, so shipped uninsured. sold it at parts a week later , and lost $250. expensive lesson learned

So true, NEVER ship w/o delivery confirmation AND insurance. Without it they only have to say they didn't get it and your are screwed. I never give them the option to purchase insurance and delivery confirmation, I always build it in to the shipping cost.
