Beware any dealings w/ Ryan Robinson-Currie!!

This guy called me about buying my RacerX, is from Sault St. Marie Ontario. He said he was interested, talked to him a couple times and said he would take the sled for $1500. I made a deal with a guy from work to haul the sled back to Flint,MI with him when he went home on days off.
Well, the first problem was the bank draft that Currie said he sent, never showed, then it was wired money that never showed, then it was Currie that never showed with cash in hand because his buddies pickup broke down in northern MI.
The last supposed pickup of the sled just flat out didn't happen either, no money wired and no contact. The guy would reply in text after text, but was just full of BS when it came to actually doing what he said he was going to do.
Sled sat in the guys garage in Flint for about a month and a half before I got it back home.
My bad I guess for not requiring a deposit, took someone on their honor, turns out they were full of sh!!t.

Yeah I know Ian, now in Your case I would have been smart enough to require payment in full!!
You done riding for the year or are you planing Cooke yet this spring? Was thinking on hitting Cooke around end of month or 1st week of April, depending on cond.
Cole and I are sitting at Wyoming High Country Lodge right now, gonna hit it for a couple days.

I'm not done for the year, I'm just trying to line up a ride or two before I pack it in.

I was thinking of going to BC towards the end of March but may fall back on Cooke if things don't work out. Keep me posted.

Let me know how WY was, I've never done much riding there....
