better boards, anyone use em on a PRO?

Ya, I was just trying to appease the masses
well i'm not saying a head to head challenge wouldn't be a great idea, i'm just saying i'm skeptical of all i read regardless of the person putting on the challenge. i'm sure if there is a challenge and betterboards wins, everyone on the fence about them will be buying them.

I thought it was great of you to offer up your sled. I know that cutting up a new pro is an un easy feeling. Then riding around for a couple weeks with different boards, PITA. Taking pics and reporting back what you experienced. That's a lot of work for you to undertake so nice of you to offer.
I'd believe what you had to say on it.

I said i was satisfied with the stock runningboards at first.
I have a Pro163" but i have 2 other sleds with BetterBoards.
And when my throttlecable frose up solid last weekend
and i took my spare D8 twinpiper with betterboards
its no comparison the BetterBoards are hands down a big improvement!!!
We have (dry colorado pow) here in sweden in our riding area and the
boards are freezing up solid with the stock boards but they are a big improvement over previous years.

How about this...
I'll buy a set from Better Boards and provide the PRO boards for CRF118r {Bob's} PRO test. FOC! Under the agreement that if BOB states in his experience of the head to head test that the Better Boards side is a significant improvement over stock that arcteryx and snopro_ac agree to buy Better Boards and install them on their PRO's immediately plus come on snowest once a week and TELL THE MASSES HOW WONDERFUL THEY ARE ON THEIR SLEDS (until I get tired of seeing it
). If BOB states that he doesn't feel that BETTER BOARDS HAS IMPROVED HIS PRO. Then I'll donate another $200 cash to SAWS out of my own personal pocket (Poor ROB HEEB's MONEY NOT BETTER BOARD'S MONEY) to go with the $500 that I gave to SAWS at the Oregon Trail sled give away event to PROTECT your fricking right to ride! How's that naysayers? Putting my own personal money where my mouth is. (if you knew how poor I am that would really being saying alot!)
I just put $415 of my own cash up for you naysayers..now you two step up the plate and take ownership on your comments and participation~! GAME ON?

You called CRF118r "BOB" yet I noticed that his name is not in any other these threads, or his profile. I also noticed that Bob lives in Eagle which is right close to Carl's and if I an not mistaken....YOU.
So my question is do you know BOB???
If the answer is yes, then we might need to choose someone else.

Here are a few key design features that make these the BEST boards for your sled:
Pre-located holes for east rivet layout
Superior tooth design for the ultimate in traction
Front opening has no traction teeth, 2nd and 3rd have rear-ward facing teeth to aid in traction while allowing easy exiting of footwell area! (see pics)
Others have teeth that stick up above the outer edge which doesn't allow the rider to feel the edge; reducing traction and confidence. Feethookers are approx 1/16th lower than the edge. This gives you the best of both worlds: increased traction AND the use of the outer rail.
Last but not least these are the BEST value: $150 and that includes powder coating, and shipping!! (ad $15 for canada)

Why am I involved in your challenge? i said the challenge wouldn't matter to me. if i want a set i'll go get a set.

I'll do the challange. I have a Pro. Not only that, I'll put one BB on one side and leave the other stock for the sake of pictures. It's snow time in Colorado and we will see a ton of it in the coming weeks.
I had BB's on my D7 and D8. I liked them but have told Rob that I didn't like that the cleat was higher than the outside edge. So he lowered them on the Pro (just for me!).

Funny... It is Bill and I do live in Eagle near Carl's and Rob Heeb (Meridian). I met him once after pestering him with PM's after standing on a 2010 D8 preprod at Carl's in 2009(?). I liked the lower cleat and decided I had to have them on my 08 D8 (before that I wouldn't buy them because the cleats on the original design was higher than the outer rail). He finally relented and hooked me up with a set and I loved them. What I don't like is all this crazy back and forth. Can't we all just get along?! Sounds like Meathooker beat Heeb to the punch today, and I may just be cutting up my ride sooner than later Still not totally sure though!! A couple of my buddys and my bro-in-law run them (MeetHookers) and they seem to work as well as my BB's did. I hate to get in the middle of this kind of stuff cause Meethooker hooked me up with an unobtainable IQRR tunnel extension that he made, and Rob hooked me up with pre-production boards. Both are solid in my book!!

The only complaint on the sled, Was the snow piled up under my toe hooks .
put boards on. one ride down many to come,
But the better boards(did make it easier to clean, and i was not kicking snow into the belt area.
I am NOT paid or sponsered by anyone !
But I did stay at holiday inn last night ! lol

I had both better boards and meathookers on my dragon, loved them both..both kept the running boards much clearer then stock...one thing I really like about the meathookers are the frt cleats face backwards...keeps your feet from slipping ,while still allowing easy escape from the stirrups...good products sell themselves and both of these products do..will I put them on my pro?..maybe..stock is decent..and i have something I want to try first...
