Best way to Summerize a snowmobile??

What is the best way to store a snowmobile over the summer? I get mixed opinions. I usally just put Stabilizer in a full tank of gas. Ihave heard that only last about 30-60 days. Or should I just drain the gas completly? If I do that do I have take off the carbs or leave them on?

I usually use the gas in the tank in the lawn mower through out the summer.

i usually put stable in the last ride of the year,if there is quite a bit of gas left when i"am done ridding i syfun it out till there is about 2 gallons left.then in the fall when i"am ready to ride i top the tank off with some fresh gas.i have never had any problems with the carbs gumming up..

Fill the tank fuel of premium and 1/2 can of sea foam. Keeping it full prevents condensation. Run the engine with the gas shut off while spraying fogging oil into the carbs with the air box off till she runs out of fuel. Spray exposed aluminum with WD-40 to prevent corrosion (white dust looking stuff) grease it and put her in the stable.

I normaly tear it down and store it in alot of boxes and bins. saves space that way. then come fall i try to remember what went where and its a mad dash to get something put back together.

I would summerize a snowmobile by saying they are just great fun!

What we do is.. fill them up conmpletely with gas and oil, & throw a tarp over them and put blocks of wood under the skis, and the same with the track then, about once or twice a month start the sled up for a few minutes and let the track spin.. then tarp it and wait till next month...and so on..

Summerize, we still have 3 months of riding left. We just start them once a month. The nieghbors love it when we have four sleds going at the same time.

oh yea! works great. we usually go one step further, but the wife gets pretty pizzed when she has to replace the strips of sod in the front yard

sound like u need a bigger ac unit for the garage ! I open the windows and let it rip nice and cool and the smoke is just bad enough to make your eyes burn a little. The old lady thinks its sexy when i come back in stinling like 2SCS.
