What do you think is the best value fully synthetic 2-stroke snowmobile oil.

also what is the cheapest ?

Best Value 2 stroke oil

The best VALUE 2 stroke oil by a HUGE margin is Mystik JT-4 Synthetic.

$27 dollars a gallon on their site

https://www.mystiklubricants.com/do/product/Snowmobile/663077002

Go to a wholesaler supplier and get it even cheaper. I got it down to a shocking $21 a gallon.

Don't be fooled by other oils that say they meet JASO (Japan Automobile Standards Organization) specs most other brands ARE NOT certified by JASO, API (American Petroleum Institute), and ISO (International Standards Organization)

Mystik JT-4 Synthetic is actually certified JASO FD (one of the highest ratings)

I tried almost all the other oils for the most part they work I just got tired of being ripped off for 35-45 per gallon.

You will find a number of oil threads here. Alot of smoke (pun intended) and mirrors.

Goof luck

If your in to throwing your money away I would say buy the synthetic,I have been running 12 dollar a gallon 2 stroke oil for years and havent had a problem , just pull and clean power valves every 8 rides and good to go.

I've used Castrol sled oil for years without any failures. I tried the Doo mineral stuff this year because I got tired of the smell of the Castrol.

Not sure if some have seen the chemist thread but here is a chart on some of his testing of 2 stroke oils:

The interesting thing i se is the his number one pic was a 100% conventional oil. Go figure !

I thought there were a lot of questions surrounding the 'chemist' as far as his credentials and methods of testing. Kinda seemed like the whole thing was a bit of a scam.
But then again I don't know crap about oil except what I can read on a label or website....which is probably true of most riders.

I ran Blue Marble for about 9 years. I went back to Castrol 2 stroke in 2009. I love the cost difference. I haven't noticed a perf or lube difference.

I miss the smell difference.

According to the chart above, Blue Marble isn't corn based?

Citgo, now Mystic, sea and snow semi synthetic. $17 a gallon, I've been using this oil since 2004, in my Doo, and my Poo's. Over 13,000 miles on the last 3 sleds, no issues whatsoever. My brother has been running it in his 08 M8 since new, no problems there either.

I took Indy Dan's advice and switched to Castrol. He prefers non-synthetic to synthetic. No problems, even on a TM1000.
