Best Upgrade for 08 Xp Rear Suspension

I have replaced the old springs with newer, stiffer ones but after the first ride of the season I have realized that the rear shock has also blown out.
Any Suggestions on what the best way to improve the rear suspension?? I'm willing to spend up to $1000.

fixing xp rear suspension

don't go and buy new springs, its a waste of time. the rear bracket on ur tunnel, where ur skid frame bolts to needs to be moved back around an inch or two. nothing needs to be replace to its an easy cut and wield fix. i have not done this my self yet but friends have and they say this is the only way to fix it. ask around about this repair before u get in too deep.:)

can you find more info or some pictures of this,, i have heard this once before as well

I'm starting to wonder if the rear suspension can be fixed correctly on the XP. I have added the heavier springs and had the rear shock charge with nitrogen twice.

Anyone try the Holtz or Timbersled yet? How do you like it? Pictures?

R u riding the Alpha X? or the discontinued rear skid that looks like the stock cat skid?

honestly, the cheapest way to go might be to buy the cat rear skid and bolt it into the Doo rails. Spend the $100 to get the Fox shocks that come with it revalved by Holz. You'll be into the whole thing less than $700 with what is basically a Holz skid and you'll save a good 6 lbs over the stock Doo parts.

Where do you get the cat skid?

PM FreeAgent on here and she'll hook you up with a good price on the kit. I

I've yet to see someone try this, but why not? WAY cheaper than any other option and i can tell you after riding my sled this weekend with the Holz revavling the added Air Chamber that it's awesome. VERY impressed so far. Not enough time to say I'm in love yet, but the first date went very well. Good ride for sure. :D
