I agree, Impulse is top right now. but whats best for you depends on how u ride, if your installing it yourself, how much tunning u want to do, and how much $ u wana spend. the kits are all pretty close in price, but i think powderlites is best bang for your buck with the sale right now.

Hands down Impulse.. The kit is very Reliable,do a search on Impulse and see how many people have had problems. Then do a search on the others. about the least amount of lag you can probably get, biggest turbo offered, the best fuel system offered, great customer support. And the builder/designer actually rides and is very competitive. If you want a front mount i would have to say go with the Impulse. If you looking for a rear mount go MCX.

Definately don't do powderlites. My dad has had a ton of issues with his all year and so have other guys who i ride with. My mcx will pull my dads hard in the midrange too.

X 2

I really like My MCX. I would do MCX again any day. No issues after 5000 miles. Guys at alpine got there s**t together too. Depends where you live? Impulse sounds interesting but have never rode one or saw one.

I agree Powderlites was a no show this year Dave talked it up big but it never worked out for most I know of a handfull that have ran.

I have seen allot of good kits this year. I never had much luck with my MCX but it had the first maps that came out and they were junk after that it did ok was just a PITA for a few months.

A big believer in Paul and his systems.. I must I have 2:D

I've been on MCX for the past 3 seasons. Great kit. Impulse is great also.

MCX is mass produced. There are a lot on the snow and they have the best and longest track record for reliability.

Impulse is a little newer to the game. He probably can't support huge demand, not that most of us really care. I've heard nothing but great things. My buddy has Pauls old sled.

Issues?

Definately don't do powderlites. My dad has had a ton of issues with his all year and so have other guys who i ride with. My mcx will pull my dads powderlites hard too.
What were the issues? I ran 2000mi. this year and only had to relocate a fuel line to get rid of some vaporising issues.

Impulse.

For me, like it's been said, Paul actually rides his stuff every week multipule times. He tests and tunes. Again and again. A lot of "others" talk up how great their kits are and never spend any signifigant time before real world testing and release a product that doesn't come close to measuring up to what it was talked up to be. Then move on to the next sled and next project when the previous sleds and projects were never working right. Lets just sweep those sleds that ran like *** under the carpet and move on to the next one lol.

Paul has over 500 miles on his pump gas Nytro. I've seen him climb some of the craziest chutes here in Utah like he did with his race gas sleds. The pg Nytro is spot on, rode it again today and I was trying to find a hic-up somewhere but couldn't. Funny thing is Paul did eventhough I couldn't tell. We rode it at 11K ft 3 weeks ago here, then he rode it at 4-6K ft last week in Canada 17 psi and ripping.

I dont think you could go wrong with MCX, Alpine, Powderlites, or Impulse. They all make great kits for the Nytro. Any turbo kit can and will have issues of some kind sooner or later. Go with the one you can get the best customer service from in your area. Proper installation is very important, find a reputable person or dealer to do the install for you.

Good Luck :beer;

Iam thinking of the Impulse or the MCX on pump gas. Also i would like to install it my self i think. MCX dealer 1hr from here not sure on about a Impulse dealer.

There are alot of great kits and support out there, im riding a impulse and the kit and service is second to none imo.

I love my MCX. The thing absolutely rips and does not skip a beat, would definately buy another one. However I wouldn't hesitate to buy an impulse either. Heard great things about Pauls kit as well.

One big thing for me is support.

I have a great MCX dealer/installer near me. It helps me feel comfortable if sh!t happens. I've had some issues with vapor lock with my kit (which was my fault for all the summer mods i put on last season) and it was nice to be able to trouble shoot locally.

Impulse customer service is top notch also. I hear Paul responds quickly but I can't drop my sled off to him if there is an issue. I'm sure his dealer network has expanded 100% last season.

How is this for customer service.

On the hill this past weekend. Pulling some hills on my Impulse T-Nytro. First 5 or 6 pulls it is going great, then she has an issue. I work on it for an hour or so. I thought it was the fuel box. Looked things over. Can't find anything. The sled rips up the hill then once I get under full throttle it dies for a quick second and then powers back up and runs again until I hit WOT then dies again.

I thought I knew just about eveything about the Impulse system, I have installed 2 of them and broke them down and built them back up many more times. By a stroke of luck I get cell service. I call Paul, he answers. I run through the issues with him. He listens to what I have to say then tells me to check a couple things that it does not sound like the box to him. The first thing he told me to check was the issue. Most folks would think maybe an air leak or box issue or a fuel managment issue. Paul has me check the speedo wires, sure enough the secondary had worn through and at WOT it was opening so far and touching the wires causing the sled to ground out and die for a second.

I had changed out the track the day before and thought I had buttoned everything up. Apparently I missed one of the wire hangers for the speedo cable. Who would have thunk. Point of the story is that Paul takes care of you and he knows his stuff. This is the 2nd time he has got me back on the snow during a ride.

Thanks again Paul, she was rippin the rest of the day.

I though his kit pulled the hardest out of them all?? With the best response and power to be made at low boost and bla bla bla.Well, besides his skidoo kit of course:rolleyes:.lol
