best turbo for 2010 m8

Anytime a question of this nature is asked, it turns into a war on the forum and heads are taken off. Maybe people are sick of it. Check the history on the forum. BTW, I have a Turbo, love it. And I'll be go to hell if I'm giving you any advice here. PM me if you want.

I think most of the kits out there are good, a good install will make all the difference in the world.

you must go to whom ever will give you the best service. If you have a bunch of buddies that ride with one stick to that one. You have 4 real choices, twisted , OVS, Cutler or boondocker. You get what you pay for and when you spend that kind of money on boost it is who can serve you the best.

Whats the best turbo to put on a 2010 m8 i was really leaning towards the aerow charger but i aint to sure thanks for any help.

Your question is which turbo to use, not necessarily which company, right? In that case, my vote is for either a Garrett 2860 or 2871 on the 2010 M-8. With the 2871 being my first choice, especially in a higher boost setup. Garrett has been making turbos for many many years, they are easier/cheaper to work on, they are less complecated, and they cost less. Spool-up on the Garrett's is still really quite good. The 2860 may have the edge over the 2871 on the M-8 in low boost; however, I bet if you hopped from one to the other, you couldn't tell the difference in lower boost set-ups; at higher boost levels, the 2871 is superior.

When I was putting Garrett turbos on cars years back, I found them to be one of the most reliable on the market, at the time, and a lot of science went into their build. They just work.

As for which company is making the best kit....do your research. There are 4 companies on the market right now that I think you cannot go wrong with. If you have too, just use a 4 sided coin. :face-icon-small-con

JMO

To be fair, I should add that I have no experience with Aerochargers. They do appear to be self contained and an easy install, making for a clean underhood look. No need for external oiling, waist gate...so on. They just seem too complex, internally for me. But again, I must confess my ignorance in regard to having actually used or tuned one.

Good advice right there.

Cutlers Performance or Twisted Turbos have very good kits that are complete kits, Go with the race gas on either. I have 2000 miles on my 2009 M-8 Cutler stage 3 kit running 12 to 18 pounds of boost with very good luck and both have very good customer support and are always continuing to improve their product.

Questions you need to ask.

If you are going to do a pump gas the areo is ok but dang it is expensive. What they re like 1800 new and 1500 rebuilt.

If you buy a kit there are all good kits. They all have pros and cons but I have yet so see a bad kit. Well I have seen a few farmer turbos"you know baling twin and all" and they are scary.
1 st question who is going to install? You or shop go with what ever tech service will be best for you.
One of the biggest things with a turbo is installation.
