Best tunnel support kits

Depends on how bullet proof you need IMO.

Front footwell area bending from a hit: Imo the FTX plates cover that well. Cheap, easy to install and all you really need.

Rear tunnel prep for hucking or coupling: Lots of options but I just tied in the rear suspension mount to the tunnel better with a plate, added a few rivets to tie tunnel sheets to heat exchangers better and added another brands longer bumper to tie the rear section to the plate better.

Overkill lol but done.

I've got the FTX front tunnel bracing on mine. Stainless steel plates and they are easy to install. I guess my thoughts are something is probably better then nothing. Especially in an area where issues have come up.

Good call IMHO
It's Way cheaper then doing a tunnel mid season.

Knowing what I know now.
It will be the first thing that I do to my new pro.
Mine bent from a rear heavy landing on a very small jump.
I have taken way worse hits with all my previous sleds and not one bent the tunnel.

For Preventative measures... I recommend the FasTrax "PRO-Tector" tunnel kit.

I have this on my sled and have installed it on others for the same reason...Preventative measures

Although I had my sled torn down before the install... FTX includes everything you need with good instructions to install it easily without tearing down your sled.

From a previous post below.
If your sled is already damaged... I Highly recommend the Vanamburg tunnel brace set... Cut from CrMo steel... very nice fit... but requires some disassembly of the sled. VE makes nice stuff.

I'm running the FastTrax Tunnel PROtector kit on my current sled and will be installing it on my next one as well.

Install it on a new sled.. before you buckle your tunnel

IMO... It should be one of the first upgrades on your PRO RMK for anyone that crashes or hits stumps/rocks with their pro chassis RMK's...high quality laser cut stainless steel parts.. even has the long drill bit you'll need..

You don't have to disassemble the sled to install it.

Before anyone busts my chops ... YES, I paid for it.

When I first had it in my hands, I was pretty sceptical about it. I had a chassis torn down to nothing to do some other work and I installed the kit so I was able to actually feel the before and after... Before that whole area was flimsy... the FTX kit locked everything together and sandwiched the tunnel in that weak area... worth the money IMO.

I have really like the PAR tunnel stiffners. They have held up great with my coupled suspension (kmod). And they look pretty good as well.

Whats ur definition of a small jump? My definition is say like 5-10 feet total vertical. 10-20 medium. 20-30 big. 30+ friggen insane (for me)!!! When I hear of bent tunnels I think of real bonafide Slednecks guys hucking 100 foot cliffs. Ill do a 30 foot cornice no prob but haven't considered myself a likely candidate for wrinkling the footwell area... I can see the tail bending easily if u land right on it. But u guys doing this stuff are you pro riders or average joes?

I wasn't from a drop. It happened on a 40'-50' step up at 50mph or so, to a flat landing spot. I landed at roughly a 45 degree angle. i flew maybe 10' above the landing. Too much throttle not enough braking ! Didn't hit that hard either, not hard enough for me to look at it on the hill. I found the damage when I got home.

Lol the only thing I hit at 50 mph is road approaches in MN!!! on my shorty

So it was maybe the speed more than the vertical that did it....
