Best track type for late February mountain riding?

I've been out west (DuBois/Togwotee area) a few times during the past few years. We've always gone towards the end of December before the snow has setup, but this year we are going the last week of February. If you had to pick a best all-around track type (paddle, finger, etc) for late February, what would you pick? I've always run a 2" paddle in late December, and have a 2.4" paddle now, but I'm wondering if there would be a better choice for that time of year. We don't do any serious climbing...just smaller hills and playing in the powder. Thanks for any thoughts/opinions.

We will be staying at the Lineshack the last week in Feb. Stop over in the evening and I will buy you a beer. I always look forward to meeting people from the forum. Just go in the bar and yell "Eric where is my beer?"

Oh, and by the way when we were there last year at the same time the snow wasn't set up at all. We all ran 2 - 2.4" paddles.

I've never been one to turn down a free beer, so I'll probably have to do that. We're staying at a privately-owned cabin up near the Line Shack.
