What is the preferred track that people are using out here? Anyone try a bunch of tracks and come to a conclusion on which one is the best for the snow conditions out here?

Just looking for some opinions.

The original Challenger Extreme 2.5 in... end of discussion!

Seriously though, it just flat out works. When I tore my stock track on my 08 154x I put one on. Back to back with my buddies sled it worked so much better it was like cheating. (His sled was setup the same as mine) It worked better in all conditions I tried it in but it worked amazing in spring snow and if you hit icey or crusty snow it would hook up where the stock track would spin. Also had great breaking going down hill. When bought my new sled I went to a 163 so I gave the track to my buddy this year. He said he almost wrecked a few times climbing up through hardpack snow in the trees. Said he was used to his track spinning and grabbed a handful of throttle and it hooked up and launched so hard almost put him into a tree a few times.

I luv my powerclaw. I haven't tried the extreme but I have seen all the 3ft trenches it leaves every where it goes. It seems my claw will go the same as the extreme but not leave a hole so big that nobody can follow.

I've always been curious how the Assault competition track works around here but I'm not sure if I have ever seen one on the hill to ask... One would think the aggressive paddles would grab the hard snow like nobodies business, but that's just speculation.

well from riding a turbo dragon yesturday with a stock track and riding my stock dragon with the camo extreme, the camo extreme is way better in all conditions

Camoplast Challenger - 2.4" lugs - ported w/ F-Bomb trim (about 1/8" - just enough to clip the nubs off)

Great hook up on all WA has to deal us

Work good climbing but dont bother using breaks when dropping down steep stuff!

Wanna hear the most annoying sound in the world Jim Carrey makes in Dumb&Dumber? Snowryder just did.

Powerclaw. Snowryder's only telling you the CE is the best becuause his dealer told him so. We got that out of the way during the alcohol induced debate that sent many to bed one evening.

Challenger's are only available in the one ply track now. These are not your brother's C.E's.

And make sure whatever track you get is NOT PORTED!!!!

This is a wive's tale and only what people who don't own one say.

Anybody want to try mine out, just let me know.

i have not had a problem in this area. you should watch a 900 polaris with a 166 try to stop coming down hill! get out of the way!

RM Kueen decided to go with the 2011 Pro-Assault this season... We were really questioning the track and how it would perform.
We thought it may be good for Washington concrete and especially good in spring snow....? But, she couldn't stand it long enough to get to spring!!

That track is a DIGGING machine!! I thought it was her timing and lack of throttle commitment, so I got on her sled to show her how it was done. All I did was proceed to dig a whole twice the size as her last one! I hate that track!!

On a serious note... We had a good snow day early in the season at Baker with two feet of fresh. I ran my 2008 163" Challenger Extreme Dragon 860 to the top of the hill. The last 25% I was really working to get to the top. I came back down and hopped on the Assault for comparison.... I didn't make it 20% up the hill and I was done! Now I certainly realize that there is a significant difference in horsepower, however the Pro is known for getting up on the snow!! Not with that track....IMO!

RM Kueen pulled that track off and replaced it with the Challenger extreme..... What a difference!!

Since then I have purchased a RMK-Pro 163... I installed the Challenger extreme. Though there is a significant power difference between that sled and my 08 Carls 860, the sled will go anywhere the 860 went!! No Doubt!!

So for those that have the power claw how do you like them in our WA snow? Not just for climbing but for poking around in the trees too. I'm tired of my stock folded over 153on my M and am debating on either the 2.5 or the claw for next year.
